As you will know when purchasing from White Sand London you are purchasing the finest handmade jewellery, as a result these items require very special care to ensure their beauty is maintained for as long as possible.
When we selected the boxes for the jewellery we wanted to ensure that they were anti-tarnish boxes. We did this to ensure less waste and better care for the products you were purchasing with us.
Environments and exposures to avoid
Heat: Avoid placing on or next to a heater or any other heat source, this can lead to manipulation of materials and tarnishing.
Water: Avoid exposing jewellery to water, remove all jewellery when washing hands and any other tasks/activities involving water, this can lead to tarnishing and loss of colour.
Direct Sunlight: The sun can bleach materials especially natural elements.
Sand/Stones: Sand and stones are abrasive and can lead to permanent damage to your jewellery.
Cleaning Chemicals: Avoid corrosive chemicals, this can lead to bleaching and permanent damage.
How to care for your jewellery
- Store your jewellery in a clean dry place. White Sand London provides anti tarnish boxes with every purchase, the perfect environment to store your valuables safely.
- Cleaning your jewellery. Warm soapy water (not hot) and a soft bristles tooth brush is a perfect way to keep your jewellery clean.
- Insurance. For peace of mind always insure your favourite jewellery.
